Titleist golf hats are the caps you see on tour, in pro shops and on half the players at your home course. They are also one of the most requested pieces of headwear when clubs, companies and event organizers want a hat that golfers will actually wear after the outing ends.
We add custom logos to Titleist headwear for groups, so we spend a lot of time answering the same questions: which style, which fit, and where the logo should go. This guide covers all three.
Why Golfers Like Titleist Golf Hats
Titleist built its name on golf balls, and its headwear carries the same tour credibility. A few things make these hats a safe pick:
- Tour look. Titleist hats feature the same script logo players wear on the PGA Tour.
- Performance fabrics. Many models use lightweight, stretch and moisture managing materials.
- Plenty of fits. Adjustable, fitted and visor options cover almost every head and preference.
- Wide color range. Classic neutrals plus seasonal colors that change each year.
For a group order, that last point matters. Picking a color everyone likes is easier when the palette is deep.

According to Titleist's product page, the Tour Performance hat uses a four way stretch performance material, a lightweight stretch sweatband and UPF 50+ fabric, with an adjustable stretch clasp closure. That combination makes it a common choice for group orders.
How to Get the Right Fit
Fit is the biggest source of returns on hats, so it is worth a minute.
Adjustable vs fitted
- Adjustable hats use a clasp or strap in the back. One size covers most adults. This is the safest choice when you are buying for a group or someone else.
- Fitted hats have no closure. Titleist's TrueFit family comes in 10 fitted sizes, so the player needs to know their size.
How to measure your head
- Wrap a soft tape measure around your head about one finger width above your eyebrows and ears.
- Keep the tape level all the way around the back.
- Note the measurement in inches or centimeters.
- Match it to the retailer's size chart. If you land between sizes, most players go up.
Our rule for group orders: go adjustable unless every person gives you their exact size. A fitted hat that is half a size off will stay in a drawer.
Custom Logo Options on Titleist Hats
Adding your logo turns a good hat into a branded gift. Here is where logos usually go and what works best.

Decoration methods
- Embroidery is the classic choice for golf caps. It looks premium and holds up to sweat and washing.
- Printed or transfer logos work for fine detail or many colors, but they do not have the same texture as stitching.
Artwork tips from our shop
- Send vector art (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) so edges stay crisp.
- Simplify thin lines and tiny text. Stitching has a minimum detail size, and very small lettering fills in.
- Pick thread colors that contrast with the hat. Navy on black looks great on a screen and disappears in person.
- Check the proof for spelling and placement before you approve.

A Note on Sun Protection
A golf cap keeps glare out of your eyes and shades your face, but it does not cover everything. The CDC's sun safety guidance points out that a baseball style cap leaves the ears and back of the neck exposed, so it suggests sunscreen or covering clothing if you wear one. Four or five hours on the course adds up. A UPF rated fabric helps, but it is not a substitute for sunscreen.
Building a Branded Headwear Package
Hats rarely go out alone. For tournaments, member guests and client outings, groups usually pair them with a few smaller items:
- A ball marker hat clip. A ball marker hat clip clips right onto the bill, so the hat and marker work as a set.
- Logo golf balls. Matching your hat logo on the ball ties the whole kit together. Our guide to Titleist logo golf balls walks through models and artwork.
- Tournament extras. Towels, tees and gift bags round it out. See our golf tournament gifts for bundles built for events.
How to Keep a Titleist Hat Looking New
A good cap can last several seasons if you treat it right. Sweat and sunscreen are the two things that wear hats out fastest.
- Hand wash with cool water and a mild detergent. Skip the washing machine, which can crush a structured front.
- Spot clean the sweatband after hot rounds so salt does not build up.
- Air dry on a form (a rolled towel or a coffee can works) so the crown keeps its shape.
- Keep it out of a hot trunk. Heat can warp the bill and fade darker colors.
Embroidered logos hold up well to this routine, which is one more reason stitching stays the standard for golf caps.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Titleist golf hats adjustable?
Many are. The Tour Performance hat uses an adjustable stretch clasp, while Titleist's TrueFit models are fitted and come in 10 sizes.
What is the most popular Titleist golf hat?
The Tour Performance is Titleist's core tour style. It has a structured front, a standard curved bill and UPF 50+ performance fabric, which makes it a common pick for everyday play and group orders.
Can you put a custom logo on a Titleist hat?
Yes. Logos are typically embroidered on the front, side or back panel. Vector artwork and simple, high contrast designs give the cleanest result.
How do I measure my head for a fitted golf hat?
Wrap a soft tape measure around your head about a finger width above your eyebrows and ears, keep it level, and match the number to the size chart. Go up if you fall between sizes.
Should I order fitted or adjustable hats for a group?
Adjustable. One size fits most adults, which avoids returns. Choose fitted hats only when every person has confirmed their size.
